Evening Aarti at Har Ki Pauri
Each evening, as the sun completes it's traverse across the sky, the priests of Haridwar flock to the Ganga to perform the Evening Aarti. During this daily ritual, lights are lit and set afloat -generally in earthen Diyas- upon the river, making for one of the most beautiful sights the country has to offer. As the gongs of the Temples of the Ghat start to ring, and those at the river begin to chant, a truly spiritual atmosphere is created, encapsulating all who are around to witness it.
